Welcome to RentSpec. These terms of service ("Terms") apply to the use of the RentSpec mobile application ("the App") and our website. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
RentSpec provides a digital support tool that allows users (such as landlords, tenants, and property managers) to capture and export property inspection reports, checklists, photos, and digital signatures for home inspections (check-in and check-out) into PDF format.
2. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- Software Tool: RentSpec is solely a digital tool and does not act as a certified expert, real estate agent, legal advisor, or appraiser.
- Responsibility for Content: The user is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and truthfulness of all entered data, inspection results, comments, photos, and signatures collected.
- Legal Disputes: RentSpec is not liable for any damages, security deposit disputes, breach of contract, or legal proceedings between landlords and tenants.
3. Data Storage and User Responsibility
Inspection data, comments, photos, and digital signatures are stored strictly locally on your device. You are solely responsible for backing up, exporting, and preserving generated PDF reports.
RentSpec does not have access to your local inspection files and cannot recover lost data from your device.
4. In-App Purchases, Credits, and Subscriptions
In-App Purchases & Credits: RentSpec offers optional in-app purchases (such as inspection credits) and auto-renewable subscriptions for report generation.
Subscription Terms & Auto-Renewal:
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID Account or Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Renewal Charging: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the selected rate.
- Management & Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions anytime by going to your App Store Account Settings or Google Play Store Settings after purchase.
5. Intellectual Property
All rights to the App, design, logos, trademarks, and source code belong to RentSpec. Users retain ownership of their entered data and taken photos.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to decompile, tamper with, abuse for illegal purposes, or disrupt the operation of the App.
7. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The most current version is always available on this page.
